Delphi

We don't often make the trip to Delphi, as it's rather a long way for a single day, but we offer the option in the summer when the days are longer.

We leave Vrahati at 9am, driving west along the north coast of the Peloponnese to Aigio, a distance of 75 kilometres, which takes just over an hour in the minibus. At 10.30 we take the ferry from Aigio to Agios Nikolaos, a crossing of 45 minutes. From Agios Nikolaos, the drive to  to Delphi is 60 kilometres, which takes about an hour, so we arrive in Delphi around 12.15.

The visit to the site and museum takes at least three hours. On the way back, we may stop for coffee at Galaxidi, about half way between Delfi and Agios Nikolaos.

The last return ferry is at 6pm. We also have the option to continue further west to Nafpaktos and then, instead of returning on the ferry, crossing the bridge that spans the gulf between Antirrio and Rio. From Rio, the drive back to Vrahati is about 90 minutes.
